Sorensen&Moeller Law Office traces its roots to the Edward R. Boyle Law Office founded in 1930 which was later known as Boyle and Schuler. John is proud to have been mentored by Attorneys Boyle and Louis Schuler during his first several years of practice and adopted their practice of treating each client with respect and dignity, and each matter as their most important case. John has carried on this tradition since 1976.

John is engaged in the general practice of law with principal focus on trials (civil, family, and criminal), municipal law, probate, and real estate.
Academics
John is a magna cum laude graduate of Luther College with a B.A. in English and History. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with distinction where he served on the Board of Editors of the Iowa Law Review.
Community
John has been active in his community committing significant time to youth sports and mentoring in local school moot court programs. He is active in his church and involved in municipal issues on both a professional and personal level.
Personal
John and his spouse, Linda, a retired elementary teacher, share five sons, four grandchildren, a dog and two cats. They both have lived in and enjoyed Clear Lake for almost four decades. John and Linda love their cabin in the north woods, their animals, gardening and anything outdoors.
Memberships
John is a member of the Cerro Gordo County Bar Association, The Iowa State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1976 and has practiced full-time since.
Honors
John has been a perennial recipient of the Iowa Supreme Court's Recognition for Pro Bono Service.
